  • Comments Thread For: Spence on Boxing Brook in Sheffield: What Real Fighters Do!

Errol Spence Jr. isn't intimidated in the least by what awaits him Saturday night in Sheffield, England. The powerful southpaw patiently waited for his title shot and wasn't about to allow a trip overseas to prevent him from trying to capitalize on the biggest opportunity of his four-year pro career. The way Spence sees it, beating Kell Brook in the defending champion's hometown can only enhance his reputation.

Completely irrelevant, asinine comment by nothing more than a GGG hater.

          1. We all know he wasn't even suppose to fight Kell, Chris Eubanks Jr chickened out and forgot his pen.

          2. Eddie Hearn even said this 3 years ago that he is the most widely avoided fighter in the sport. I think he knows more about that than you. Other fighters even gone on record saying that boxers avoid him cause it's a dangerous fight, the reward doesn't equal the risk

          3. GGG whole campaign is marketability: constantly staying active fighting 4 times a year at multiple venues across the world to keep building that fan base up. He wanted to fight in GB, but when it came down to the wire everyone backed out and Kell was the only one man enough that had the big name draw tied to him.

Instead of constantly knocking GGG's opponents, how bout you knock all the fighters that are avoiding him.

It wasn't until he looked "vulnerable" vs Kell (something he claimed he did on purpose) that he starting getting quality fights this year

I agree with Errol Spence 100%. There's far too many hometown comfort fighters around & the UK has far too many to mention. Anthony Joshua & Terry Flanagan are just two to mention. Give Kell his due he has fought abroad as has DeGale Groves & Frampton of late. Having said that the USA is appalling for hometown boxers. Mayweather Jnr, Andre Ward, Terrance Crawford & Keith Thurman need to also take note & try to become global superstars!!......

When Golovkin was beating Brook to the queens palace, on the score cards one judge had it 3-1 for Brook and the other two had it 2-2 for Brook. If Spence wants to win he has to finish Brook.

It is what Real Champs do, Right Ward, Right Floyd

Spence is shaping up to be quite a champion I feel he can win this. Unlike Floyd or Ward, the American is willing to gonget it in another country.

He doesn't run, hold, or and comes to KO you. He doesn't cheat and foul repeatedly like Ward.
