Mexican promoter Fernando Beltran, who works closely with four-division world champion Juan Manuel Marquez, is hoping to finalize a fight with Miguel Angel Cotto, also a four division champion, for the month of December. Cotto should have fought Golovkin at 160, would have been an epic fight and would have made him a LOT of money. Instead he is fighting a 43 year old ex fighter who's last fight was in 2014.

Cotto is to big at 154 and no way will he go to 147, anything over 147 is huge disadvantage to Marquez.
