I legit hope they fight again cuz it was a fun lil fight. I think the ref was the bad guy here doe...him & Leon Lawson.

The punch that f#cked up Andre was legit legal & the punch that really f#cked him up was a millisecond or two off the bell & in motion upon the bell ringing. It was not deserving of a DQ & it probably doesn't even land as flush if the ref is doing his job & is between the fighters when the bell rung. Also why that old ass Danny McBride looking & sounding mfer was warning so much in English to a guy who don't f#cking speak English is beyond my understanding of the ******ity of the abc group who okayed this f#cktard ref.

I think I've probably seen more fights I've forgotten about with millisecond after the bell KO's that stood as KO's then I've seen turned into DQ's or even a NC (which I think shoulda been the call) over the years.

It was Uzcategui's second call for the infraction so the ref was fully justified in disqualifying him.

But I think the ref should have asked Dirrell if he can continue, get a physician to ascertain his condition, then make the decision to continue, disqualify Uzcategui, or rule it a no-contest. Telling Dirrell immediately that he was going to disqualify the other fighter stripped Dirrell of any incentive to continue.

It was pretty obvious there was no way Uzcagegui was gonna win.

Considering the blatent robbery in the fight previous, from the onset Uzcategui was being warned for 'low punches' that were above the belt.

Then he knocked dirrell down in the 2nd round.. its a 'slip'

Then he knocked Dirrell out

and its a 'DQ'

even IF it was a millisecond late (the 2nd punch that hurt him was before the bell) then you give dirrell time to recover (5 minutes)or deduct a point and go to the scorecards OR call a NC

It was unfortunate. I don't believe he meant to hit Dirrell after the bell and I don't believe Dirrell was truly as hurt as he claimed to be, but what can you do? It was a foul and therefore you have to give Dirrell the benefit of the doubt. The referee can't be expected to think about history.

A rematch is probably the fair thing here.

there are punches purposely done after the bell and this was not one of them. Dirrell is quitter. Always wants an easy way out.
