This past Saturday night at New York's Madison Square Garden, Ray Beltran scored a devastating and scary second-round knockout of Jonathan Maicelo, whose back of the head hit the canvas with a loud thud and was carried from the ring on a board. Beltran (33-7-1, 21 KOs) had been knocked down in the first round after the fighters ****** heads and appeared to be losing the second when he suddenly drilled Maicelo with a left hook that knocked him backward.

What was so crazy about that brutal one punch KO is that it came immediately after Maicelo's best sustained success of the fight. Maicelo was probably feeling GREAT about himself right before that shot.

He went from probably thinking "damn I'm well on my way to winning the biggest fight of my career" to getting carried out of the ring on the damn stretcher
