If resume matters why is Crawford and others ranked higher than Thurman

Thurman has a better resume than Crawford and he is very skilled. He handled the most physical welterweight in the game, Shawn Porter with ease. And he made Garcia look silly. But yet he does not get the same level of respect as Crawford, GGG, Roman, and Loma who you could argue dont have as good of a resume. Why is this? Is it because he cant switch hit? Or is it because he isnt a loud mouth.

I don't think that's a cut and dry statement. 147 is the money division so we're more familiar with the names there, but it doesn't mean they're necessarily better than the guys Bud's fighting. I think their resumes are around even, especially when you consider how Bud is dismantling everyone he fights.

"Beat Porter with ease" pretty much kills your credibility. That could have gone either way.

Thurman had his hands full but he landed the bigger and more effective hits. Danny Garcia and Porter trump anything on Crawford's resume.

But why? Do you think him being mixed has something to do with it?

Thurman should be ranked higher than Rigondeaux and Crawford.

I think Crawford has been ranked higher because his performances have been more spectacular which is how the name "run time" came to be.

              1. He didnt handle shawn porter with ease. And Shawn porter isn't even that great.

              2. He didn't dominate garcia at all.....and i mean at all. That was a close fight. Garcia beat paulie and guerrero.....how good was garcia at ww?

              3. Thurman talks major s.hit lets not act like he aint a sh.it talker.

              4. All those guys you mentioned were/are beating top opponents with ease, just dominating them. Thurman has never ever dominated a top opponent in his division....he has gone to war with every top opponent he's fought.

Not to mention he's moving up weight classes and getting guys outta there.

Thurman has wars but he handles them quite well. I think it's fair to say that Porter alone is better than anything on Crawford's resume.

"F" Shawn Porter. i think that its arguable that Postel at 140 and Rey Beltran and Gamboa at 135 were about the same level as porter at 147.

Crawford's top best wins(no specific order):
                    1. completely owned Diaz (u can call him a midget or whatever but he beat Lamont)
                    2. beat Postal in lame fight
                    3. beat a good version of Gamboa (not really past his prime yet)
                    4. Beltran b pretty tough and TC handled that easily(but was boring)
                    5. Burns (tough crowd road win Burns was ok at 135)

                    Thruman top 5(no specific order):
                    1. lame win over Garcia
                    2. very close win over Porter
                    3. Guerrero win (mostly crap version of Guerrero) and thurman had some issues late in the fight
                    4. Chaves (Thurman had issues here too)
                    5. Soto-K (not even really a legit contender at WW and still Thurmanator had problems in the fight)

i'll go with TC over Thurmantor when it comes to p4p resumes
