Comments Thread For: Brook: No Issues With Weight, Close To 147 For Spence Defense

According to IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-1, 25 KOs), he is already on weight and ready for his mandatory showdown with Errol Spence (31-0, 18 KOs). Their fight takes place this coming Saturday night at Bramall Lane in Sheffield. There were concerns about Brook's ability to make the weight, but he was able to do so without any issues or concerns.

Nothing to not like about Kell regards boxing and even when he talks about boxing. One day it will come out how he nearly lost a leg. But as a fighter he has terrific nerve. All those pussies running from Golovkin and he made em all look like what they are.
Half the posters here thought he'd swerve Spence and give up the belt but he defied scorn and reason to defend. Even if he loses nothing but respect for attitude and dedication to the sport.
If he wins it's a tossup again as to who is best welter as both Thurman and him have beaten Porter. So then you have to ask who is the more formidable welter - Garcia or Spence?
But ... big if ... which is why my ass will be firmly sat in front of the screen this Saturday evening - must watch event.

Look, a completely healthy Brook had all he could handle with Shawn Porter.

I like Shawn, but the eye test says Spence might be on another level.

It just doesn't look all that good for Kell, if lasting a few rounds with a slower middleweight is what he is hanging his hat on.

Lol except athletes in ALL sports say this all the fkin time. The only way to really tell is to evaluate them during weigh ins and the fight itself.

true. that was more towards the fanboys on NSB who have those excuses in their back pocket. kell says everything is A-1, so i don't want to hear it when he gets wrecked.

as for kell, i fully expect him to contradict himself in the post fight interview, after he's gotten the smelling salts and been examined by the ring doctor.

...based on? Others hyping him up? Make your own opinion ffs. Dude has looked good beating tomato cans and his best win is over an MMA fighter.
