I hope whoever wins fights Thurman next. Spence can get a defense or two in before Thurman is ready again it sounds like which will do well for his experience & Brook can just take a lil extra time off & then Thurman for either guy.

Eh, I mean who doesn't want the big fight over the fight vs the new guy which can be a bigger fight in 2 years or whatever? Manny won't be around much longer so if Thurman is gonna get that he needs to get it soon. And Spence is a threat who won't pay as much now as he will in 2 years probably when more people know him (assuming he beats Brook & blah blah blah obviously).

I think Thurman is a legit competitive mfer & would fight whoever, but at this level of the game its ****** to ignore the economics of it all despite fans thinking thats the way it should be. No one is fighting for some altruistic highlander "there can be only one" sorta reason. Everyone with serious talent is trying to get where Thurman is & then once you get where Thurman is you're trying to get where Floyd, Manny & Oscar got to.

I got a feeling Thurman will not want this fight. I remeber his post fight talk of further unfication, and his body language was telling he was not too excited about it, eventhough he was saying different

he'd fight brook, the fight he has never given a direct answer about, is when he's asked about spence. it's always, "he needs to build his name," or "gotta let that fight marinate."

the fight happens next year though....thurman obviously wants a manny uni before anybody else, and i don't see how anybody can blame him for that.
