Comments Thread For: Brook: After Beating Spence, I Want Thurman Unification Next!

IBF welterweight champion Kell Brook (36-1, 25 KOs) admits that his days are numbered in the welterweight division and because of that he plans to target a unification with WBC, WBA champion Keith Thurman at the end of the year. Thurman revealed last week that he recently underwent elbow surgery which is going to keep him out of the ring until the end of the year.

Thurman has tough style to beat... Hes got good movement and then he stops and throws bombs and on the move again... Difficult style, rather see Brook take on DSG, that would be 50/50 i rekon. Hopefully he can pull off the win this weekend and get put in the top 3 ww in the world.

Whoever wins I hope fights Thurman to kick off 2018. If Brook wins on Sat make Khan beg and wait around for him cuz he instantly becomes the A side in that fight. It would eat Khan up to know that Brook would surpass him in the UK

Brook vs DSG is a 50/50 fight?

Thurman needs to go have one of those easy meaningless right now because I don't wanna hear his fans complaining that he can't have three tough opponents back to back to back. Even though the Porter fighter was tougher than the Garcia fight.

Fair enough. Im a big Brook fan, only real threat to him if he can get past spence this weekend is Thurman. Id give Thurman the edge in that. Would be awesome to get DSG name on his record though... Not that angel would ever let that fight happen, it would shut alot of ppl up, if Brook exposes Spence this weekend gonna find people saying Spence was untested/overated...
