Everybody wants Pacquiao or Mayweather, especially if they know that if they're vocal about it they may get it. TC is in TR so he's close to getting it, it's good that he's making it known. If he doesn't call it Pac, then fans what take issue with that too, they'll see if he wants Pac he has to call him out. Well, there you go, he called him out specifically, no "whatever my promoter says".

Those fights were a while ago. Crawford is a significantly better fighter than he was then.
Why would he be in for a long night? As you stated he would be the bigger fighter with the longer reach. He is highly skilled and is a damn good boxer/puncher. He has all the tools to beat Manny so i can see why people think he would win easily even though I don't think so at all.
You seem to be saying, without saying it, that Crawford might beat Manny in the way Raheem beat Morales. That was dominating but not boring.
I don't see how this fight would be boring except if you are would be rooting for Manny and Crawford just beat the piss out of him, which isn't likely IMO.Comment

I already explained it to you. I don't think Crawford will engage Manny in the way he has lesser fighters. I think he will fight a more cautious fight. That doesn't mean he can't win, in fact, I think that is precisely how he would win. Styles make fights, and Pac's fights are more exciting when matched against aggressive fighters who fight three minutes of every round. I just don't see Crawford employing that strategy. I see him using his advantages (reach, height, movement) rather than stay in the pocket and dominate up close.
If anything, TC is going to box and move, similar to Morales and JMM. Pac/Morales and Pac/JMM were very exciting fights. So it seems unbelievable that this fight would somehow lack excitement. If not, then maybe it looks like Pac/Algieir (which I only read about) where he outboxed and KD a guy who tried to box with him but couldn't.
The only way it lacks excitement is if Manny fights like he did against Floyd, which is the only time he fought like that. I highly doubt he does that again. You don't seem worried about this happening because it was an anomaly when compared against his complete body of work.
That's my only point about Crawford fighting the style you suggest.
Assuming he did what you said, I'm curious as to why that would be boring. Seeing a young dynamic boxer puncher dominate is never boring.Comment

And my response to that is he has never fought cautious, outside of 2 rounds against Postol after winning 9 or 10 rounds so to think he would change that style against an opponent that is smaller, shorter and much older (although better than his other comp) doesn't make any sense.

You can't blame Pac for the boring Pac/May fight. They were equally to blame for that fiasco, but anyone who knows boxing could have told you it would be a boring fight. If Floyd is in one corner, it's going to be a boring fight regardless of who is in the other corner. That's just his style.Comment

Crawford never fought anyone on Pac's level, so we will see what happens if they ever get in the ring. I think he spends the first half of the fight feeling him out, what happens in the second half of the fight is anyone's guess. To this point in his career, Crawford has never had to make any adjustments.

Manny fought Floyd differently than he did anyone else, which makes sense because Floyd is a great boxer and has unique attributes for someone his height. Floyd fought the way he usually did (as you have stated previously) and when the opponent keeps coming, like Cotto or Hatton, the fights are not boring at all.
If Manny fights the way he usually does, then he opens himself up for counters and jabs while he presses for a KO. That would've made the Floyd fight more entertaining and it surely wouldn't make any other fight boring.I wouldn't assume the way he fought vs Floyd is how he would fight Crawford.
I would expect him to fight in more entertaining way given Crawford's shorter reach and less experience than Floyd. IMO, that will allow Crawford to employ his style in a good fight.
I just don't see how anyone would expect either guy not to be who they are if they fought.Comment

I don't see it taking a fighter of Crawford's caliber that long to figure Manny out, especially at this stage of Manny's career.

he is saying crawford will not engage and will use his height and reach, which i agree!! its funny to see how you're flipping this. a fighter with height and reach advantage and he's not gonna use it instead he's gonna go toe to toe? so you're saying crawford will throw his advantages out so he was fight manny head up?Comment
