Damn I would've never guessed that in a million years. This caught me completely off guard. This might be one of the most unexpected events in the history of boxing.

Shannon Briggs has failed a performance-enhancement drug test that should jeopardize his June 3 heavyweight title fight against Fres Oquendo. A report posted Sunday afternoon by ESPN.com stated Briggs failed a random urine test for dramatically elevated levels of testosterone. The 45-year-old Briggs and the 44-year-old Oquendo have been tested regularly by VADA, the Las Vegas-based Voluntary Anti-Doping Association, for their WBA heavyweight championship match.

Let's see if Briggs gets the Povetkin treatment from NSB posters. I doubt he will though - on the account of this place being hypocritical and all.

                  Everyone saw this coming.

Why don't they just have one belt, and then call the rest of them suspenders, since it means the same thing.

The WBA is pleased to announced they will also world rank fruit and vegetables.

On the other hand, I am so relieved this fight is going to be cancelled. It should have never gotten off the ground.

The only real surprise is that he didn't get caught years ago. The fact he's gone this long and not been caught till now proves that these drug testing organisations are a joke.
