Writer makes it sound like the second coming kovalev with the power punching. Benavides is a real contender. He's pass prospect. That being said, I saw him fight a very tough and sound African fighter at show in Brooklyn. Based off that I'd say he's a beast. Cleaning up porky this fast is impressive

Benavidez is brutal. He rose to a new level for sure. In one fight he goes from a lower level contender to not only a higher level contender but also a winner of an eliminator and now gets a shot at the title. 20 years old....imagine when he is 23 years old. He can only get better.
