The punch came slightly after the bell, in the midst of a combination. Dirrel was hurt from the second last punch and was dropped by the final punch that landed a second after the bell. At no time did Dirrel stop defending..., until he got dropped. There was nothing intentionally illegal about that punch. The ref was acting like the punch came 5 seconds after the bell rang. The fat @ss referee was way too emotional to be reffing that fight with any semblance of rationality. Even after the fight, in his interview with Jim Grey he was red faced and indignantly angry. You can't ref a fight fairly and competently if you're overly involved emotionally. The ref has warned Uzcategui early in the fight about a low blow that never even happened and Malignaggi mentioned that the ref shouldn't have gave that warning.

Dirrel should have been given extra time to recover and the fight should have continued. If Dirrell couldn't continue then it should be called a "No Contest" and they should have did a rematch.

Dirrell's cornerman should definitely be charged for assault.That was an absolutely dirty, dangerous and violent act. The strange thing is that the fat ASS couldn't even hurt Uzcategui even though he outweighed him by 80 lbs and sucker punched him without boxing gloves. Hahaha

I appreciated Dirrell's attitude towards his opponent. He was respectful and he knew the other guy didn't do anything wrong. The only thing I didn't respect is Dirrell's defence of his team reacting as they did. There was no excuse for acting like a piece of schitt under the circumstances.

Uzcategui disqualified for throwing shots after the bell EVEN THOUGH HE WAS WARNED EARLIER IN THE FIGHT. When the bell rang he let 2 shots go while Dirrell was dropping his hands after the bell.
