I think it will be a lot more competitive than some people think.
What am I missing about Walsh cuz I am seeing a lot of people thinking like you're thinking & even saying Walsh will win?
I've seen him fight before & he for sure seems like a competent & skilled cat who's gonna beat most guys out there, but idk that he seems like a top ten caliber guy to me. Tank seems like a top ten caliber guy who can compete for the #1 spot potentially at some future date.
Yea this is a underrated big boxing weekend for me with a lot of middle of the road, aka not HUGE name fights, but very compelling matchups.
Gervonta Davis vs Liam Walsh - I like Tank BIG here, but I keep hearing people liking Walsh so curious to see if I'm just overhyping Tank &/or undervaluing Walsh, I think Tank stops him between the 3rd & 9th rounds or wins a wide decision
Gary Russell Jr vs Oscar Escandon - Russell here all day if all this sitting hasn't finally impacted him, but I do give Oscar some decent chance at an upset here or he for sure has better odds than the +1400 line he has last I checked
Andre Dirrell vs Jose Uzcategui - this has all the signs of an upset waiting to happen to me & I love Dirrell, but his career has been shaky for awhile, I think this will be competitive & I think Jose wins
Rances Barthelemy vs Kiryl Relikh - not super into this fight, although I really enjoy Rances hair stylings lately so there that, I think this is W12 for Rances all day virtually every day
Terence Crawford vs Felix Diaz - enjoy Diaz I just don't see him doing much here vs Crawford, talented cat & for sure will surprise some more mfers in the future & maybe even get the decision next time unlike vs Peterson, but Crawford is far too big of an ask for Diaz in my eyes
Ryota Murata vs Hassan N'Dam - super curious about this fight & not really confident on this one either way, I think this might be one of the more interesting fights to watch this weekend although I'm almost destined to forget about it cuz I believe it'll be on at like 2 or 3am or something like that Saturday morning for me
David Benavidez vs Porky Medina - fight of the week right here, I think this is the fight I'm most anticipating this weekend & it'll go a long way towards proving how bright David's future is going to be
I'd also throw in these lesser, but still fairly interesting contests that'll be happening this weekend:
Thomas Oosthuizen vs Igor Mikhalkin - should be a competitive fight & I believe is today & probably sometime this afternoon as its on German time iirc
Ray Beltran vs Jon Maicelo - even-ish semi-crossroads-ish fight
Juan Navarrete vs Daigo Higa - probably the most compelling add on fight to Shoulder's list, curious if Higa can be as good as some think he is & get me more interested in the "lil guys"
Krzysztof Wlodarczyk vs Noel Gevor - another even-ish semi-crossroads-ish fight that could have WBSS implications
Inoue is also back this weekend.
Got to believe that after the fight, he'll call Gonzalez out.

Dude you know there is always a chance Davis turns out to be the new AB.
