Calzaghe just turned down Glen Johnson??

    WHY?

Apparently, Calzaghe offered Johnson a shot at his world titles for July 8 but Johnson said he couldn't make 168. Johnson offered Calzaghe a fight at a cach weight of 172 and Calzaghe said 'forget it'!?

I hope they can come to some sort of agreement, because Johnson is made for Calzaghe and would end up with a bloody face and his pride dented.

So I see you're back to praising Calzaghe for the moment. I suppose when Tarver vs. Calzaghe becomes a reality, you'll say Joe is finished again?

Oh, sorry, the other story I'm getting is that Johnson wants the fight at 175 but Calzaghe is asking for a cach weight of 172. Not sure which is right.

Surely Calzaghe is too old and slow to beat Glen Johnson and only 1/10 of the fighter he was when he beat Eubank by now?

If he loses to Tarver, big deal? Tarver is a 6ft3 southpaw (who won't trade for the life of him) and Calzaghe would be moving up in weight.

Tarver is a tough fight for Calzaghe, I certainly wouldn't put money on Joe in that one. But Glencoffe Johnson is a short, come-forward fighter and Calzaghe would pick him off with fast combinations.

Hmm, he's just won every second of every round against the best prospect that America has ever seen (according to the hype).

And he was nowhere near his best when he fought Eubank, one of his worst performances infact.

your right it will never happen because Calzaghe isnt 100% sure he can win so he turns it down thats the way he has been his whole career what makes now any different, hes a RJJ for the Brits. Dont get me wrong I like both RJJ and JC but they both had their teams making the right decisions for them which sometimes and in there case is the wrong decisions because he cant get credit when he beats a b and c class fighter.

Glen Johnson i don`t think is a bad fight for Calzaghe at this stage. Johnson has the name value that America wil respect so lets wait and see. I don`t think the fight will happen, maybe Calzaghe fights a no body...but he'd be wise to target the winner of Tarver / Hopkins afterwards.
