Since you are apparently new to boxing you should know multiple abc f#ckery has been going on for the last 4 decades & change at an impressive rate. Nothing is changing anytime soon.

Its best to not even give a f#ck about who has what title & when they will have to defend it or be stripped or what caliber a championship they hold or how anyone can unify all the titles & keep them for any length of time without fighting undeserving bs mandatory's all the time & about 50 other bs things involved with abc groups.

Just concern yourself with who's the best in the division & consider that guy the champ & neither of these mfers is THE CHAMP so no one should give a f#ck about whatever bs "title" will or won't be on the line.
I didn't mean to come off as a d1ck but it just sounded like you were being patronizing for no particular reason. I was just wondering because it was something the WBA announced within the past year so its not as if it was old news. Also, I may be new to this site but it doesn't mean that I just started watching boxing yesterday. I've been a long time lurker on this forum but just never made an account and just decided to do it one day. I am quite familiar with the regular poster on this site even though they might not be with me.

Fair enough, but if you've been following boxing long you should know how these abc groups operate.

If my answer was patronizing to you it was probably cuz this question comes off as naïve to me. Abc groups have consistently done the same things over & over for DECADES. The main thing they do is lie & bend rules to their own best benefit & outcome. This is some Lucy holding the football for Charlie Brown type sh^t bro. Yet every couple weeks someone is talking about omg (name of abc group) is doing (something f#cked up) like its a surprise or should be a surprise to anyone paying attention.

Anyway I could go on forever talking about abc f#ckery & why no real boxing fan should give a sh^t about them, but let me just end my rant by saying the title that matters most in boxing at this point in history is the guy who most pundits & fans feel is The Champion in any particular division. All the abc belts are bs titles that only help weed out who's not The Champion in any particular division at any particular time as general the only thing the 4+ belt structure does well is make a short list for who's reallllllly Champion.

Oh did they say that. Yeah, these sanctioning bodies are a joke. Say one thing do another. They have Shannon Briggs fighting Fres Oquendo for their WBA Regular belt, Lol.

        SMH @ the WBA

Yeah I haven't the slightest. It's hard to keep up with these alphabet organizations. They are always trying to make a prophet and changing things. I try not to figure them out. Saves me the headaches, Lol.

it's already been explained repeatedly. the wba is getting rid of the interim titles first and then theyre getting rid of the super titles.

the interim champion was elevated to world champion when jacobs lost to ggg.

Was just wondering if anybody heard anything from the WBA president or anything on the situation. I figured somebody who is on boxing forums 24/7 365 ie. ,you, would maybe have an answer.
The WBA did say that they were eliminating their regular and interim belts from all divisions which is why they were so eager to make the GGG-Jacobs fight, or so they claimed. So even though the regular title got eliminated after that fight, the WBA still had an interim title which N'dam won off Blanco at the end of last year. Now it seems that interim title will become a regular title, which will become a super title once the winner of Murata-N'dam fights the real WBA champion.

It would have been easier had they made Jacobs face N'dam, then have the winner face GGG but the WBA chose not to do this so it is really confusing. Hopefully this is the last time we will see the WBA regualr title.

It wasn't so much your answer as it was calling my question cute and calling me a "2017er" which I'm sure is meant as 'hey look its somebody new here who don't know **** about boxing'. Its whatever tho. Like I said I apologize if I came off as a d1ck. Now how I wanna be known here or anywhere.

I know the bodies are all f&cked up and do idiotic things all the time. I was just wondering if anything heard about what was going on with the WBA because just recently they said they were eliminating more of their titles in all of the divisions but still have them being contested for after they were already "unified/eliminated" such as in the GGG-Jacobs fight.

Yea I know, tell me about it lol. The amount of belts in each division is ridiculous. I forgot which Canelo fight it was but while they were introducing them in the ring, a member of his team was holding up a white belt behind him. I've never even seen that belt before haha. It did look pretty cool tho. I would be fine if there were only two belts per division. That way we could have at least one unification.

Probably because there is more sanctioning money in the two GGG fights.

N oh I see now. Thanks for the answer. Instead of eliminating the other belts outright, they are ordering mandatory "unifications" of their belts to cash in on the sanctioning fees for all the fights. You add up all the "unifications" in each division and that come out to A LOT of money. After thats all that matters tho them... MONEY.

That's how it was in the old days. First the WBA was established then the WBC, this was in the 60's and it remained that way for a while. Then in the early 80's the IBF came into the picture. Then around the mid 2000's the WBO became one of the major sanctioning bodies officially.

Now these organizations want to make up all kinds of belts, super, regular, interim, etc...SMH it never stops.

God forbid the IBO from becoming an official sanctioning body. That's the last thing we need. Sheesh
