It seems your real issue is that he can command this much money and that so many casual fans want to see it. I don't understand why.

People keep saying floyds old and retired but hes not really retired is he if hes willing to box again?
Is 40 really that ancient in boxing terms? Klitschko just fought joshua in his 40's and gave him hell, hopkins fought kovalev in his 40's, yet mayweather fights someone whos 0-0? What a damn pathetic way to go 50-0.
Actually should this farce even count as a 50th win?
No, likely the smartest move financially of all time...youre simply jealous that golovkin is just now able to make a POSSIBLE 8 figure payday after he's been canelos b1tch for the past few years.

No, he is making this a sanctioned fight that counts towards a 50th win. The money just adds scale to the absudity and historical significance. The hypocrisy is that he has had the nerve to criticize other fighter's opponents throughout his career while very prudently choosing his own.

The 50th win has no significance whatsoever. As someone who has an account on this board I shouldn't have to explain that. Since when does any real boxing fan look at 50-0 as some kind of meaningful record?

The money is there because, regardless of your personal opinion, Floyd draws people.

NSAC is sanctioning this because they want in on the money this crap is going to generate. Did you think they were going to say No and let another town reap the benefit?

Fighters always criticize other fighters opposition. To somehow pretend this is just Floyd makes absolutely no sense.

Floyd went from not being able to draw crowds and get fights to then getting those fights once he showed he could draw crowds. He worked his way up to being the top draw. He won the big fights. He is now monetizing his success same as the other big PPV stars before him.

How can you find fault with that?

Because if it was golovkin they would be praising him all over this site, when it's the best and they didn't like him, then it's just ****** and doesn't make sense.

No one looks at it so much as a legit matchup, but mma fighters have run their mouths about boxers for a long time. A few out of shape, out of prime boxers have gone into mma and lost, now it's the mma guys turn to take a serious ass whipping in a boxing ring.

It's a circus show, but I think this is Floyd's way of opening the door to making boxing and mma co main events on the same cards and bringing in money beyond belief. Smart business man.

If Floyd fights Connor for his 50th win, it would just be plain wrong.

people acting like mayweather would only get paid pennies to fight a boxer lol. pretty sure him fighting golovkin or canelo at 154 would have done big business. thurmans not a huge name but as hes a legit threat that would make money too. i dont think the mcgregor fight will do as well as people think. there will be a lot of hype but people will be reluctant to actually pay for it.

its not common for a world level boxer to fight someone whos boxing record is 0-0
