Maybe if Manny had shown up there would be a rematch now. If he beats Thurman or the Spence/brook winner I think diehards and casuals would welcome a rematch.
The question you should be asking is why casuals want to see the mcgregor fight over the manny rematch?
#unfinished business written all over it, but Floyd's decide to quack for all the money, glory, and closure that comes with it.
Even in Spain, they saw Pac winning. (@ 14:00 mark, BOXING EXPERTS AT THE END OF THE VIDEO ALL FOR PAC)

Nacho about Floyd: The kid caved. Over defensive on the most important fight of his life.
"He knew he was supported by the judges to give a luck luster fight."
"He (floyd) lost so much credibility"
"the only one throwing punches was Pacquiao"
"how can they gave the rounds to a guy who even looks ridiculous running away scared?"
"or giving hugs to turn off the fight?"
# rematch written all over the place. Floyd needs to redeem himself with this poor display of boxing.
You already did win Manny. With an injured shoulder at that. Now he rather fight a non boxer than to get destroyed in a rematch with you. You just tapped that ass with one healthy arm
# legendary
Floyd hung on to Manny like a drowning man holding on to a floating log. This guy is the most overrated boxer in history. No power..no offense..no guts...runs like a purse snatcher being pursued by police.... holds on for dear life every time he is about to b attacked..constant dirty tactics such as forearms to opponents face and neck...this guy is the biggest scam ever...his backers say he is a boxer not a fighter, I say he is neither...the state of boxing today is at its worse point for allowing this disgraceful decision, a decision that was rendered before fight night.
much holding over an injured asian. it only shows his lack of confidence. And skill to oneself.
The boos in every Floyd Mayweather hug caught in this footage only shows how boxing fans feel in their frustration of what is an example of what not to do in a super fight of this magnitude.
Boxing is stick and move Floyd, not stick and hug. Don't change the game lol

KENNY LOPEZ SHOCKING INTERVIEW! PACQUIAO BEAT MAYWEATHER RE SCORE PEDS USADA NSAC
@ 2:32 - Did Pacquiao win this fight? Honestly. Yes!
@ 2:34 - I think that the reason a lot of people don't see it that way is because of the commentating. It fooled a lot of people.
@2:48 - Mayweather was very good at pot shotting moving out controling the distance, if you take that away and you neutralize it, he looks like his landing catching those shots, but you hear Roy Jones saying he landed, but when you watch it again, he wasn't landing none of those shots.
@ 3:30 - I want to make it official, I watched the fight again, and I thought Manny Pacquiao won that fight when I watched it again.
Hopefully history perceives things the correct way, which is that one man came to fight, the other came to hug and run, and that there was an obvious difference in work and effort in the ring that night between the two competitors. Now, if floyd's decide to quack and fight a non-boxer than to do a rematch with Pac, it only strengthens who truly was the real winner that night, and obviously it's not him.Last edited by Spoon23; 05-18-2017, 04:22 PM.

I've had mixed feelings on this fight. I agree it shoudln't be counted on Mayweathers official record since really it's more of a sideshow than an actual fight. McGregor doesn't stand a chance and I'm not one of the boxing vs ufc guys who thinks will be a victory for boxing since our guy won, they are 2 different sports that shouldn't be compared. But that being said, as much money as they are both going to make, if I was in their shoes I would do the same thing in a heartbeat.

People keep saying floyds old and retired but hes not really retired is he if hes willing to box again?
Is 40 really that ancient in boxing terms? Klitschko just fought joshua in his 40's and gave him hell, hopkins fought kovalev in his 40's, yet mayweather fights someone whos 0-0? What a damn pathetic way to go 50-0.
Actually should this farce even count as a 50th win?
I hope this destroys the US ppv market.

Originally posted by NYG View PostI'm not a Floyd fan or Pac fan but i think it would do similar to their first fight. There will always be fans who want them in the ring, regardless if it will be another UD for Floyd which i think it will be. It wont stop people from buying it hoping for a different outcome though. Then you have the shoulder injury BS so fans might want to see what a "healthy Manny" would do to Floyd
I don't think fans buy into that as much as some of mannys fans on nsb.
As much as I think the Conor fight is garbage, it gets talked Lot amongst casual fans. ESPN and fox give it a ton of press. Vegas even started taking money on the fight.
It would easily do more business than a manny rematch although it might not do as much as Floyd/ Manny 1.
