But seriously, what was Winky's best win at 154? A small ass Shane Mosley who came up from 135? Weak.

Canelo's a beast at 154, it's his best weight, dude's like the 154 version of Aaron Pryor, he'd massacre Winky easily.

It's actually about 4 for Canelo now.

But throughout this thread on all pages they gave their reasons for saying why Wright would win. Massacre easily, Lol. The same way Canelo massacred a real old grandpa Mosley at 154, or the same way he massacred Trout and Lara and a small Cotto? Feel free to read throughout the thread on their reasons on saying why Wright would win.

winky would win. canelo would need work rate to beat winky and he don't got that. canelo doesn't step on the gas even if he's got a corpse in front of him. all canelo fights look the same. he either knocks a guy out or comfortable controls the fight never pressing the issue to entertain or close the show. to get through winkys guard he would have to be alot more aggressive and have a higher output or else winky would pepper from the outside and walk him down and out work

I would say Vargas would also beat canelo. better footspeed and punch output from Vargas but canelo punch could turn it around against Vargas chin. I think the Vargas that beat ike would beat the best version of canelo we have seen so far

Canelo knocks out Winky like he did Kirkland.

Lol, sure. Canelo couldn't knock out an old Shane Mosley, smaller Cotto, Trout, Matthew Hatton and a walking weight drained zombie punching bag Chavez Jr., but he somehow would knockout a prime Winky Wright? Lol, Ok

Kirkland has a glass chin, Winky don't.
Winky Wright has never been knocked out in his career.

Furthermore ain't no way Canelo getting lots of shots off with Winky Wrights defense and his cage shield guard. Read all the responses on this thread as to why the majority of people picked Wright. Styles make fights and Winky's style poses problems and difficulty for Canelo and his style.

This thread is erroneous... To say "prime" of Wright, which measure and date is for Alvarez? The Alvarez now who had beaten Lara or Trout? Or the Alvarez later? When can Alvarez at prime be official? Is it yet to come? Was he prime before?

                    Lol @ erroneous
Obviously the comparison is made for the Canelo we have now to the best Wright we've seen.

Sure Canelo may improve and assessments may change in the future.

But all we can go with at the moment is what we know right now.

And Wright isn't Mayweather, he's not going to be boxing Canelo's ears off. He's a slower version of Lara, with no power.

When was Wright prime? His "epic" battles against Bronco McCart? His wins over a fat Trinidad that didn't belong at middle weight? His beatings of a Mosely who went down hill after he was busted for roids? Or his losing efforts against Vargas and Harry Simon?
