Once again, you keep telling yourself those lies...maybe that will help you come Sept huh?Comment

Just addressing your point about Canelo laying on the ropes too long, I agree. If he does what he did in the Chavez fight, and lay on the ropes while he's catching a breather, GGG will destroy that body. GGG almost never stops moving, and almost never stops punching, or takes breaks.
Nelo's stamina is increased, but the way he was laying on the ropes against Chavez is cause for concern against GGG. But then again, can GGG continue to take the same amount of punches from Nelo as Chavez Jr? Chavez Jr is a legit 190+ lb. fighter. GGG has decent defense, but if he takes too many punches from Nelo, he might get stopped.
This fight is as 50/50 as it gets. Each guys has their strengths and weaknesses in this fight.
I really do hope that Nelo doesn't get scared, and turn gun shy, and start back peddling all night after he tastes GGG's power when his back is against the ropes. I'm kind of worried that might happen, and we won't get the high octane fight we deserve.Last edited by CatchAndShoot; 05-18-2017, 12:32 AM.Comment

You don't have to over-analyze all this.
It's simple, GGG is the bigger, stronger fighter with better fundamentals. And most important, GGG is a career 160 fighter while Canelo is a career 154 fighter. The advantage automatically goes to GGG, being the bigger guy.Comment

He will. He was gun shy with floyd form the outside. He won't get past ggg's jab.Just addressing your point about Canelo laying on the ropes too long, I agree. If Nelo can't handle GGG's jab, he's screwed. Another negative for Nelo is that he's not as good fighting off his back foot, and GGG only comes forward. If he can push him back, which I for sure think he can, then that's his best chance. Keep pushing him back, and keep punching and punching. If he backs off for a second, and gives himself up against the ropes, 1 body and head combo from GGG can theoretically end the fight, and Nelo might shell up, or just be fighting hurt the whole night from there.
But let's be real, Nelo isn't some soft chump that goes down to punches like that. He's as durable as they come, and he knows how to box at the highest level. This ain't no cakewalk for GGG, at all.Comment
