Technical Summary: Why Gennady Golovkin stops Canelo.

This isn't Bogatazo, is it? After Mayweather-Pacquiao (and his refusal to recognize how much Mayweather's reach would impact the outcome), I stopped taking him serious.

I don't know who that guy is you are referring to mate, but if Canelo beats GGG I give 100% credit. The last time I made such a break down was when J-Rock was about to fight Charlo, and when J-Rock got knocked down I gave Charlo 100% credit for beating J-rock no excuses.

Its not that technical, G is too big, too aggressive and hits too hard for a guy having those size and length advantages, and on top of that, he can really fight, I don't think Canelo can keep him off for 12 rounds the power will get to him sooner or later. Canelo likes a comfortable pace and in this he will be under constant pressure every second of every round. I really cant see Canelo winning this fight.

Reach is even, maybe a 1/2" advantage to Canelo. GGG is the naturally bigger man though and is taller.

Like a lot of big fights, this fight will be decided with body work early. And typically the announcers will largely ignore it. Whoever does the most good body work in the early rounds will likely win the later rounds.

I favor GGG slightly in this fight, but if he goes head hunting early and exposes his body Canelo can beat him.

I agree with the user -Kev- when he said Golovkin's arms look longer than what they're listed as on boxrec.

Ggg's main weaknesses are he gets over aggressive and he throws wide punches...perfect for a counter puncher like canelo. I still think ggg will be too much for him tho. Canelo likes to fight at his pace...i think ggg is going to be able to pressure him more than he's used to, that's where mistakes are made. That and just the sheer strength and punching power that ggg is gonna put on canelo...i think it was paulie that brought up the mental pressure that goes along with that.

He extends himself very well. Problem is hes been slower lately and the jabs been easier to counter considering he does extend himself. Canelo has the handspeed advantage and it will be very evident the 1st 5 or 6 rds. Itll get very interesting after that.

Yes, he will load up big time when he realizes he's not gaining traction.. and he will get winded per the usual.

They measure reach from the back. Canelo is wide. Reach measurement is deceptive. Golovkin's hands are much longer. Canelo has t rex arms.

Few problems with this.

1. This was 2 years ago and golovkin didn't look good vs either brook or Jacobs.
2. He didn't show the same power vs brook or Jacobs.
3. The only B level fighters he has beaten were brook and Jacobs
4. He almost lost to Jacobs
5. Canelo isn't Willie Monroe.

And canelo looked like **** vs trout and lara.

Brook and jacbos > trout and lara.
