De La Hoya decided to make the Canelo-Golovkin right now because of Golovkin not looking exceptional in his last two fights against Kell Brook and Danny Jacobs. We see De La Hoya as worried that if he didn’t make the Canelo vs. Golovkin fight right now, he might lose the fight altogether if Golovkin were to suffer a defeat.

So just explain to me why Floyd and his team presented the fight to #48 FIRST but #48 & his team said NO to the CUT-OFF DATE on the LAST BLOOD & URINE TEST? then the 2nd round of trying to make the fight happen #48 and his team wanted more money after having 2 loses and being K.O.'d in 1 of them?? Then Floyd running up on him in the basketball game & the fight finally happening???

I give them credit for making the fight but i still feel they were somewhat backed into a corner in the end.

Where else were they doing to go? they didn't HAVE to make the fight of course but they would have been under so much pressure right now if the fight wasn't made. People let the Chavez fight slide because it was a big mexican fight and big money fight, but he would have no excuses to not fight GGG in September.

I believe Canelo would have taken the fight anytime but not his team. If there was an easier option out there that they could taken and still keep people happy, they would have. They probably believe they can win but it's not a risk they wanted to take until they had little choice but to take it.

He only making this fight after 2 long years. And because Canelo is a boring fighter. His fight with Cotto was boring and his fight with Chavez was extra boring. So boring people said GGG getting in the ring was the most exciting moment of the night. So boring that people are even threatening to skip Canelo GGG lmao. His last 5 or 6 fights have been Catchweight fights lol Canelo and Oscar are bad for the sport. Canelo last fight hurt boxing.

I think Coka's new thong is a little too tight.

Canelo last fight killed boxing. The most boring Catchweight fight in the last 20 years.
