I can't wait for this one, but I really wish it was happening at 154, rather than 147.

Spence most definitely is not another Jeff Lacy, he's much better than that. But is he as good as he and his team think he is? If he is, we're going to see a great 50/50 fight .. if he isn't, young Errol is going to be force fed chocolate brownies all night in front of 30k rabid UK fans, and he will never be the same again afterwards!

I've been waiting for this fight all year. The sport got new blood in the HWT division and now IMO we need the same in WW since its the 2nd most historically important and glamorous division in boxing.

I am rooting big for Spence and want to see if he is ready for the big step up in comp.

I REALLY hope the winner's next fight is with Thurman or Manny in a unification fight. Would make whats been a great year even better.

Good article, well written, thank you. .. but ... more details please. This is pretty much a hard core boxing fans website [although I do wonder sometimes ] and I for one would like to know more about sparring partners, weight progress, interviews with trainers, with sparring partners.

I would say up until 1980 that was it. Since then I really think WW has taken 2nd. I think definitely in the last 10 years its been ww.
