This fight is a joke...blah, blah, blah

We've heard all of the repetitive comments about why this fight is a "joke".

Not sure why people fill up the thread acting like they are pointing out something new.

If you don't like the fight, don't comment - we know people have to say the fight is a joke in order to act like they are boxing experts.

I want to see the fight - so fk off.

          Lol excellent analogy.

I still say its a lil early & personally I think Dana will have harder demands then Floyd will have gives + I ultimately think Dana is looking for any opportunity for this fight to not happen despite Floyd, Conor & WME-IMG all wanting the fight to happen. So sending in Dana to make this fight is like asking the cat to guard the salmon dinner you just made.

My gut feeling is I think if this fight gets made it'll take Ari Emanuel or one of the bigger players in the new UFC ownership or other players that'll have some upside in this fight happening kinda like it took to make Floyd vs Manny.

Agree with both. I too want to see this fight. I also think it's great for both sports, but especially boxing.

But it's a joke competitively, but who cares, I am interested in seeing a great boxer embarrass a loud mouth amateur.

For anyone whose ever spent time at a boxing gym. If some total loud moth amateur comes in challenging a pro there to spar, do you not want to watch?

This fight gets done because Ari and Patrick want it done. Dana doesn't have any power here. He's an employee.

WME-IMG has a lot of interest in McCgregor outside of UFC.

We're just watching the early stages of his career in entertainment.

I think Dana has power as he's the ambassador on behalf of WME-IMG & can f#ck things up beyond repair if he's thinking like I'm thinking he's thinking lol.

Do WME-IMG & Conor even have some sort of personal relationship yet? Last I heard Conor was saying he'd never met any of those guys 6ish months ago or barely met them just a month or three ago. That changed? They signed him to a management deal or something like Ronda was pre-UFC purchase?

But for sure they have a vested interest in their biggest PPV seller at the moment.

Idk about any post-MMA movie career for Conor if that's what you are suggesting. Can Conor even act? Wrestlers (who are already acting) seem to transition over to acting better than actual competitive athletes have historical I think so good luck to them if that's their master plan with Conor.

Personally I just think they are trying to parlay Conor's name into more mainstream sports minds to transition them over to the UFC not even to Conor specifically. The UFC grinds the f#ck outta athletes & Conor's time at the top is nearly over most likely (he'll still sell PPV's don't get it twisted)...he's just money grabbing better than any UFC guy in the history of the UFC or MMA in general.
