I would say lack of dedication to the game is what got him, I think he does have some talent and certainly has toughness. He just never had that work ethic and that ability to keep his nose to the grindstone to truly make the most of the abilities he did have. Those abilities may not have been the greatest but he certainly could have got more out of them.

What was his excuse for the Martinez fight? He was 4lbs. Lighter and he was equally as inactive save for the last round.

Both his trainer and his conditioning coach claim the weight wasn't an issue, he's simply a mediocre fighter who's the son of a legend.
