    Is Canelo cheating?

He's not fighting for the IBF so he isn't doing the 2nd day weigh in. GGG is still defending the IBF so he has to do the 2nd day weigh in.

Regardless of what Jacobs or Canelo decided to do GGG still has to do the 2nd day weigh in.

I expect a lot of these little tricks to be used by Canelo within the next few months. A guy who wore fishnets tells him what to do so you have to expect weird things to happen.

Nope but this will be one the excuses when GGG loses just like they still keep making excuses for the Jacobs fight. No one cares about that IBF belt if GGG does then let him pay sanctions and do second day weighins. But no one else has to.

Great assessment. In order for K2 to hold on to all the unified belt defenses they must comply in keeping it. Plus they have to bet that they will beat Alvarez.

Alvarez has the Lineal. A win over Golovkin, even without the belts is bonafide. However, Alvarez must compete for a belt in order for GBP to promote their new 160 fighter along with the defenses.

If by surprise, Golovkin decides to not defend the strap, then it further proves their seriousness about the WBO, and if they lose, I'd suspect they're moving to 168 indefinitely. There, if Golovkin wins a strap. Alvarez must see him again!

I don't get worked up about stuff like that. 2 men have agreed to fight each other. They know the rules.

Let the fanboys cry about the minutia. The men know what they're getting into.

According to the article today about the IBF.

K2 and GBP already agreed that if Canelo doesn't want to fight for the IBF then Triple G won't be burdened with a second day morning weigh in. I'm sure they checked with the IBF in regards to that situation.

So all of that has already been worked out.
