Obviously Golovkin should be favored 5-1. GBP could always steal a decision though.

He led his son to three titles and the son is regarded as one of the best fighters, if not the best, from Puerto Rico.

Just because he wanted to train one guy for his whole career doesn't mean he's not successful. He was a former fighter so it's not like some guy without fighting experience like Jack Loew.

That's like a coach leading an NBA team to three titles and he's not considered great because he only coached that one team.

i hear ya. but damn. when was the last time anyone heard from him ?

and i disagree about the TEAM coach thing. coaching a team is much more difficult than an individual. especially if that individual is your child.

tito sr was blessed with having a talented kid. look at the stress chavez sr is going through

They are both pretty complete. Neither is a one-trick pony.

A lot of the people on this forum, a surprising number of which don't really watch boxing seem to depict him as a KO artist.

His jab stats are way more impressive than his fairly low number of true knockout punches.

He outjabbed Jacobs 105 to 31
                    Lemieux 170 to 35
