Duva did NOT request a purse bid. Duva requested a designation as Stevenson's mando, which was granted. Duva thought she could negotiate the fight, but Yvon Michael declined to negotiate and instead requested the fight go straight to purse bid. Duva got outmaneuvered, plain and simple. And why she withdrew PRIOR to the bid taking place is anyones guess. It was ****** in my opinion. She should have waited until AFTER the bid took place, and THEN withdrew if Haymon won and HBO wouldnt let Kov fight off-network. She would at least then have known how much Haymon was willing to pay for the fight.

This lady is mad because Ward didn't contact them for 3 months? Did she ever think that he wanted to take so time off and spend it with his family. They fought in late Nov., he isn't allowed to spend the Holidays with the family and then take a lil vacation after? She said it herself, as soon as there was contact the fight took a week to finalize.

as it pertains to THAT particular situation, I dont think any "hate" towards Adonis is warranted.

The big issue with Adonis is that it has been FOUR YEARS since the Dawson KO, and he has yet to get a truly "marquee" matchup. And sure, alot of that falls on Yvon and Haymon, but some of it rests with Adonis too....

I cant really answer that because I dont know why Yvon Michael refused to negotiate with Duva. You dont have to like, or even respect someone in order to get a deal made. Something must have went on behind the scenes......
