Examples of boxers taking high risk low reward fights?

As I see no one wants to fight ortiz, Im curious which fighter took real high risk low reward fight.

Just on top of my head Canelo Alvarez taking on Lara was pretty high risk, but low reward.

    Any othee examples?

      Sutherland vs Rainford

Rainford was extremely high risk because of his widely known prolific PED abuse, and also because Sutherland was coming into the ring off a alcohol and meth bender

And Rainford wasn't the star that he later went onto become so it was low reward

Wrong and Wrong, B-HOP was a high reward fight because of his undisputed status and was coming off from a win of the recent middleweight tournament and had beat Tito Trinidad. The buys went over reach 1 million.

Wrong again because Raheem was seen as easy work for Morales and was seen as a tune up before their rematch against Manny Pacquiao. But it turns out it wasn't the case and Morales underestimated Raheem and got whoop. They didn't see Raheem as a high risk, they thought it wasn't a challenge for Morales and they thought wrong, but that doesn't mean, they purposely fought for a high risk low reward fight but rather it was a cherry pick gone wrong.

Just about anyone who fought Winky Wright when he didn't hold a title was getting into a high risk low reward fight.

              Ward vs Kovalev series

              original was labeled ''p4p''

if Ward wins again, what difference will it make. People said Ward wouldn't give him the rematch either even when there was a clause. people go into shock theory because Ward doesn'T reply to media pressure and fan trolling, so they say he was ducking the rematch.. ''Ward let Kovalev get old from bout #1''

Lmao, you are such a troll. People gave Ward **** about retiring because he was the one who brought it up.

Look at the front page. What benefit does Crawford have facing Diaz? Absolutely nothing
