you are right again, and canelo is more than capable of landing those... it was the speed and timing more than the power... a heavy handed guy could have prob kd ggg or anyone else with that punch...

if it had been Roy Jones Jr., Golovkin would be sleeping on the canvas.. no joke..

but of course Amar Amari doesn'T hit as hard as Roy Jones Jr. or Julian The Hawk Jackson.. look at GGG's frame that year compared to now like when fought Lemeiux...

Hard to say for sure. I'd say Golovkin as he's been tagged by harder hitters. Both seem solid though, you don't really see either hurt.

They both have great chins. I think GGG might have a better chin. I have never seen him hurt, staggered or wobbled. Cotto's brother hurt and staggered Canelo when he was a teenager. I have never seen Canelo hurt since then.

But that was in 2010 I believe so we can't look into it too deep.
              This 100%. We don't know.

Styles make fights. Lara's compubox striking would do more damage than Lemieux ever could, meaning accumulative, but only with top fighters, not random blokes fighting a Lemieux. Lemeiux is very one dimensional. A good defensive craftsman could ease of Lemieux's offense and tame it.
I get your point. But getting hit by Lemieux and Jacobs clean in any way is more significant than getting hit by Trout and Lara. That left hook Jacobs landed on GGG before he screamed was a monster, and Golovkin was fine. And look, Canelo has a great chin. I wouldn't be surprised if neither goes down. And having a better chin doesn't mean GGG will win anyway. It's really splitting hairs, but based on the evidence, I'm giving the edge to GGG.

I agree with you and styles make fights. Jacobs has mad power, but he's not sequential for important combos. Where were the accurate strike points when Jacobs landed that left? Jacobs can come after in a barrage, and Alvarez has a planted style to execute offense and respond on defense.

I think Alvarez will be effective by accumulative shots that Gennady has never been before in the pros. I don'T care if he's 35. We need to give credit where its due. I know Golovkin is also a twisting torso sniper with his lunging hooks, but they have to land on a fighter that doesnT have good intuition with guys coming on a pounce.

I'm sure Alvarez and camp are looking at the tapes.

Canelo was on ***** street against Jose Cotto for a good part of that 1st round. He was 19 at the time and to his credit came back and was able to get a referee stoppage in the 9th round of the scheduled 10 round fight.

GGG has the best chin in boxing, Canelo has a good chin.
