Idk how many times I have to say this, but yet again...kovalev was there...he said it was 50/50. If Alvarez was 20, that means golovkin was 29 or 30 and had 15 pro fights with 400 amateur fights, anyone who thinks he will be THAT much different at this point in his career is fooling themselves. Boxers don't magically reinvent their entire style after those nerve pathways have been created. Why do those fighters who constantly switch trainers hardly ever have any success? Once things get hard, they go back to what they know.

Meanwhile, a 20 year old kid is still a sponge and all you have to do is look at Alvarez 6 years ago and now, then look at golovkin then and now. Also the level of opposition, that alone tells the tale while golovkin was still fighting C level fighters, Alvarez had been in with Mayweather, Lara, trout, and Cotto...all A and B level fighters, 2 future HOFers, while golovkin didn't step up until Jacobs, and there's a great deal of people who feel he lost.
