A side makes the offer when it's in his best interests to make the fight and not a second sooner.
Actually, they didn't take the deal you think and it was a damn blessing GBP had the deal in place or the media stories this week and after the fight would have been GBP made a million people buy a farce.

The only thing that saved that disaster was the GGG announcement.

No one rushed to make that clear but GBP.

Am I missing something. Were the terms of the contract released?

"Golovkin’s side wants to have a stake, as much as 40 percent, in the event,” said Dan Rafael of ESPN.com.

Golovkin promoter Tom Loeffler of K2 Promotions have been talking about a deal, but that the biggest obstacle is Golden Boy's insistence on paying Golovkin's side a flat fee -- at least $15 million -- while Golovkin's side wants to have a stake, as much as 40 percent, in the event.

ALSO FYI Chavez and Canelo PASSED ALL their Vada testing Urine and BLOOD. Think each was tested like 8 times.

            5x Urine
            3x Blood

I give you this. At least when GGG loses and you drop him like a bad habit we can't say you jumped ship to Lomachenko over night...I have a feeling the healined will read

"Lomachenko set a CAREER following of fans overnight"

Hope his Twitter account can handle all the traffic

He does, he just pretends shot doesn't happen when he's wrong. GGG got far more than he's been contending he'll get, but this is NSB, so expect that.
GOOD for him!!! Why would I be salty when boxers get PAID??? I think they ALL don't make enough and WHY I BUY the fights instead of using those SHT Streams where you can't make jack out of them. Like Jacobs he got more it just took a lil longer.

You were PISSED when Jacobs asked for more doe...

Grovelkin and Lowfler completely bended to the will of Canelo and Oscar. Once again Grovelkin will bend to the will of super mega rockstar canelo in september. The middleweight king has arrived!

Of course it wasn't complicated the Jacobs fight happened it did crap numbers no choice but to crawl back to the negotiations table and bend over to canelo demands. Backed out the Saunders fight like Oscar told them to, rematch clause only for canelo, said they wouldn't show up to the Chavez fight yet oscar demanded it so they came there like a good lap dog. Golden boy took them to the cleaners. Easy to negotiate when GGG finally realizes he's the B side and his fight does 100k something buys and canelos does 1m buys. They took the best deal they could get and agreed to terms BEFORE the Chavez numbers came out. They had no leverage canelo making money selling ppvs without GGG. Jacobs fight opened their eyes to the reality of where they stood in the pecking order and they accepted it so the fight was made. It's that simple
