I think the opposite tbh, Golovkin has better footwork than Canelo and would have been able to cut the distance much sooner.

Too bad Abel and Golovkin always said "my focus is just 160." But 154-168 were easy scales from them, so they say

I think Jacobs or Lemieux both beat Canelo. Apart from Mayweather, Jacobs is better than anything Canelo has faced.

Does anyone think Golovkin would NOT have KOed Chavez?

KOs against Khan and Smith are pretty much foregone conclusions

GGG DUCKS CANELO'S OPPONENTS: LARA, FLOYD, CHAVEZ Jr., COTTO(step a side $ twice.)

If Golovkin's @ss was extremely sore after the Jacobs fight, man, ERISLANDY "El Oro de Guantanamo" LARA would retire Golovkin with a dislocated butt-cheek after the master-class he would put on GGG, 12 rounds to 0 shutout at The Khazakistan EXPO.

              HAHAHA!

The LINEAL MIDDLEWEIGHT CHAMPION Soon to be Undisputed Middleweight Champion SAUL "CANELO" ALVAREZ beats all of Golovkins opponents.

GGG would have Ducked Paul "The Punisher" Williams from 154-160 also , a fighter who CANELO would of fought and beat IMO.

Erislandy Lara is an Elite Boxer he would out box GGG and win a decision rather comfortably.

GGG can't stand in the center of the ring and outbox Lara, so he would have to cut the ring off and try to get on the inside and do damage and even though GGG does cut the ring off well most of the time, Lara's foot speed & hand speed are way faster then GGG's plus Lara has lots of experience and a very high boxing IQ. Lara would land his jab & 1-2 & timed accurate power shots all day long while being slick and pop shotting and racking up the rounds.
Lara would make GGG miss & make him pay with fast accurate shots right down the pipe and circle out of harms way.

Too bad GGG clearly DUCKED LARA while CANELO FACED LARA & BEAT HIM.(just another day in the office for The Boxing Prodigy turned #1POUND FOR POUND FIGHTER , Lineal Middleweight Champion SAUL CANELO ALVAREZ

If GGG fought Canelo's resume, I think he'd be 49-2 (losses to Floyd and Lara) instead of Canelo's 49-1-1. I think he'd have at least 45 KO's (Canelo has 34).

Really? Golovkin is far more aggressive than Canelo, based on that I'd like to think he'd a knocked him out sooner.

EDIT: Unless Canelo carried Khan for a bit.
