Comments Thread For: Canelo-Golovkin: Fans Pick Cowboys' Stadium in Golden Boy's Poll

If the majority of boxing fans get their way, Oscar De La Hoya will take the Canelo Alvarez-Gennady Golovkin fight to the Dallas Cowboys' stadium. Dallas, as in the Cowboys' AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, won a four-option poll De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions posted on Twitter as the preferred site for the highly anticipated middleweight title fight September 16. The Cowboys' stadium garnered 43 percent of the votes, 10 percent more than Las Vegas (T-Mobile Arena; 33 percent).

I'm waiting for the confirmation to make my reservations. Kinda wish it was in Vegas for the big fight feeling.

          Better prices but horrible views.

Fights simply don't belong in soccer or football stadiums. It's a greedy way for the promoters to capitalize and make more money off the fight but it does nothing for the fans.

This fight belongs in an arena in Vegas.

Hopefully it's at cowboys stadium. The Canelo vs smith fight was electric. There were fans from all over the country there as well as all races wearing Canelo gear. Can't wait to see another Canelo fight

I'm in Dallas, so I'd almost feel as if I'd have to go...such a big fight and for it to be within a short drive, I mean it seems like a must.

That said, f**k, the views in that setting, barring paying epic ticket prices, would be...let's just say less than optimal, and this is a fight that I'd want to be in a room, with a big ass flat screen and seeing this **** in HD with the surround sound blasting.

Although I guess I could just re-watch it the following week on HBO...

doesn't this stadium have a huge screen? So the viewing can't be that bad

but i guess if youre watching it on a screen might as well stay home and watch it on your tv

AT&T Stadium boasts one of the biggest scoreboard screens on earth. If not THE biggest. The **** is literally like 60 yards wide. But yeah, like you said, if I'm going to just watch the **** on the scoreboard screen...may as well watch it at home.
