But once again Roy could and often does set traps. Think of the hunter trapping a much larger bear or lion or jaguar. Roy's true genius lies in his ability to comprehend what exactly will happen in the next few minutes not just the next few seconds. Joshua is a great fighter but Roy was a legendary one. The greatness of Roy lies in trap setting against larger fighters like Ruiz. And he could definitley trap Joshua.

The size advantage would be too great for RJ to overcome.
Just one punch from AJ would send RJ flying into the stands.

They good Heavies but I don't think they could touch a prime Ali etc.
Joshua has skills, he was out boxing Wlad for the first 4 rounds, Jones wouldn't be able to land a punch due to reach advantage, Joshua would litteraly kill Jones if he lands that uppercut he landed on Wlad

The only way Jones wins is if he can get in and out of Joshuas huge reach without getting hit once, and never gets in a clinch. How can he do that. Never seen it done in any fight. He never fought a big punching superheavy. Thank God.

I see this as a fight where Joshua could make a lot of mistakes and win but if Jones made one mistake, it would be over. It is asking too much for a natural 168 pound fighter to go up against a super heavyweight.

More like a 70 lbs disadvantage, and no he doesn't.

Do you realize how slow AJ would be, like a mongoose and a sloth.

I agree if he landed solid he would KO Roy, the thing is can he catch Roy. Go and watch Floyd vs Baldomir and ask your self could Roy be that evasive slick with AJ.

Gonna be hard for Jones to overcome the size, Ruiz was big but do-able due to his style and relatively comparable size.

                    Roy Jones
                    Height 5 ft 11 in (180 cm)
                    Reach 74 in (188 cm)

                    John Ruiz
                    Height 6 ft 2 in (188 cm)
                    Reach 78 in (198 cm)

                    Anthony Joshua
                    Height 6 ft 6 in (198 cm)
                    Reach 82 in (208 cm)

Jones also was caught in clinches with Ruiz. That only would need to happen once with Joshua and he would let rip. Anyone else notice how thudding Joshua's body punches were whilst Wlad was holding him? Plus the uppercut combination he ripped to close the show.

Jones is no doubt an ATG and Joshua will never be able to attain that same greatness, but I would think 10 times out of 10 he would destroy Jones, just too big a gap.

If a great small man loses to a good big man, then how does a great small man do against a good gigantic man?

Jones is walking too much of a tightrope in this one, it might take Joshua a little while to find him, but he will eventually.
