Well said and true.Snr needs to realise the life he's given his son has made him the man he is today
0 struggle . Brought up without having to fight for anything
Born with a legendary name doesn't give you the right to compete with world class fighters
95% + world champions have had to fight their whole lifeComment

Eh. Look - there are plenty of fighters worse than Jr. People ride him so intensely because he is the son of a legend - something he had no choice in. Yes, he's fallen short of his own capabilities, and yes, his career will be considered a letdown when all is said and done. But that can be said for a HUGE amount of fighters. It's just that those other fighters weren't sired by a great.
I think we just need to get on with saying Jr is a good, not great fighter, and leave it at that. Digging up this "living in his Father's shadow" crap is beating a dead horse.Comment

So sad to hear this great Mexican legend say that about his own son. Jnr was brought up with the silver spoon that's what the old man forgets. Since Jnr lost the middleweight belt his career has been an ABSOLUTE shambles.Comment

Senior should let the kid run his own life. He wants to do things his own way. As long as he's not getting in trouble with the law or doing drugs Senior has to learn to back off. Chavez Jr. is a grown man.
Rough translation: "He can't continue doing things his own way, not giving a **** about anything, it's sad to say it, but when you don't give a ****, you're not worth ****, he doesn't care about criticism, he doesn't care about this or that, he wants to do things his way, things just don't function."Comment
