To name some sons who were greater than their fathers, and their fathers were "good" at best. Well Bobby Bonds was pretty damn good, 300+ homers with no PED's, but still his son was legendary (and controversial).

Chavez Sr just has to look at Magic Johnson and his son though, he'll see that Chavez Jr isn't that big of an L as a son.

JCC can be a stepping stone. Nothing wrong with that. Not all athletes are great. Some are okay, some are bad, some are fair, and some are good. It's their job. Not everyone is good or great at their job.

            Junior is what he is.

Sure, he could've been more dedicated. Could've been more professional. Obviously.

But seriously, let's say he was the most dedicated pro that he could possibly be...would he have beat Sergio? Or Canelo?

The answer's no. Junior just isn't very talented. Look I give him a lot of credit for going as far as he did -- even if his father's name played a big part in that -- but all in all he still had himself a nice career and earned a lot of money along the way.

Fact is though he just wasn't naturally talented enough to ever be a player on the top level.
