Beterbiev signed with Al Haymon in June 2015.
Before signing with Haymon, Yvon Michel had Beterbiev fighting former world champions, like Cloud and Campillo. After signing with Haymon, he's fought nobody of note. People are mentioning Adonis Stevenson, but Adonis is another fighter that Haymon has mismanaged. Before signing with Haymon, Adonis was fighting the likes of Dawson, Cloud, and Bellew. After signing with Haymon, Adonis has mostly fought uninteresting opponents, and has also been denied the opportunity to unify with Kovalev. When it comes to Beterbiev and Stevenson, Yvon Michel is more puppet than Promoter. Haymon is the man ruining careers, but his shills are the ones getting the blame.
Exactly... Haymon is TERRIBLE for boxing... anyone who signs with him gets on the back-burner... Look what he did to Chickenson.. The guy has not fought anyone with a pulse in 4 years.. Tony B was his last decent opponent...

And people are only calling him Chickenson because of Haymon! lol Even the fighters that he doesn't put on the back burner are getting screwed. Beyonce Wilder is the longest running current heavyweight titlist, yet he's become the least relevant. Nearly 40 professional fights and he's still being groomed like a prospect. Wilder is like a modern Primo Carnera, and Haymon is the worst thing to happen to boxing since the mob days of the 1930's.

yeah because it was all but signed and barrera wasted everyones time, he agreed to everything, then didnt sign. you can say it was bad pay,, duva wanted to pay him even less. then they made it in his adopted home town.

and to be honest berreras last opponent was far worse

Barrera's team made some claims and here we have Beterbiev trying to break his contract. You do the math, buddy.

And it's laughable that you think one opponent is FAR WORSE than the other.

Eh, this doesn't bold well for Beterbiev.

I trust a promoter to know the ironclad details of what he added to a fighter contract & the slick usage of terms to add extra fights on a deal then for a fighter to know he got f#cked upon signing said contract, but suddenly out of the blue saw something a couple years later.

Boxing kinda sucks that way. F#cked up situation cuz I just wanna see Beterbiev fight not go to f#cking court & probably sit for a year or two if things don't go his way cuz some used car salesman-like trickster promoter never wants to lose a promising fighter from his grasp.

Wonder what Haymon's take on this situation is since he's supposedly Beterbiev's advisor & if anyone can work things out it would seem like Haymon can.

Beterbiev just 1 more fighter who says or implies he wants to be more active. Promoters surely want to see boxers be more active as their is money in it for them.

              What gives?

I'm guessing that there's not enough money in decent fights to satisfy the boxers needs/desires. Case in point Barrera. So is boxing thriving?
