Maxi pad where are your Google trends pie charts that you said prove GGG is a bigger star then Canelo? I'm confused how can canelo do 1m while GGG does numbers in the 100k I was really sold on those pie charts of yours. LMAO

Mexicans told the UK fans, "Ummmmmm, yeah we still are the most rabid for the sport"
Canelo told AJ, "Ummmm, I was born ready to be the face of boxing"

That is an amazing damn number.

Surprised it did over a million. I thought it would do well, but i thought it would do just better than Cotto/Canelo.
Great job with the promotion. You put a intriguing fight on Cinco de Drinko, the Mexican fanbase will turn up and tune in. I knew Jr. would turn out to be a punching bag but many did not want to believe it.
Canelo/GGG should do at least as well.

This is also why sure for use die hard fans it was kinda corny the video and having GGG come to the ring with music but they just introduced 1m buying homes to GGG. Casual fans ate it and have been talking about Canelo/GGG on shows and networks that don't even talk boxing. It spread on social media. Tons of free press to launch into the promotion for sept. Really brilliant marketing.

God damn, insane numbers if true. Canelo is the only superstar left in the sport and he didn't even need to beat Oscar or Floyd to become a superstar!

Cotto fight could have similar numbers if it wasnt for the roc nation rookies...

The numbers are great for the sport but the event was a let down. It was like watching the prelims for the main event 4 months later.

Hmm, when you say that I felt like I'm responsible to give a reasonable answer which reflects my intellectuality.

You know the numbers were high bcz at that time Erdogan and Essad regimes had bad blood between them but then we gunned down a Russian war jet and had to get along with Russians to calm them down. So the oil prices inevitably went up bcz Russia bombarded all those ISIS oil trucks. Within this atmosphere of war and fear of losing a strong ally to Russia Americans developed some kind of zenophobia and stopped paying for foreign fighters.

Yeah I predicted 800k slightly less then cotto fight but as the promotion went on you could just feel buzz was bigger. Large part because roc nation made so many mistakes and handcuffed golden boy. They left money on the table in that fight. This time with golden boy who knows what they doing they maximized everything. If golden boy was allowed to promote that cotto fight by themselves it would of cleared 1m ppv buys as well. That was the better fight on paper and you had mexican/Puerto Rican rivalry. SMH
