Correct me if I am wrong but green inexperienced naive and foolish 23-year old Canelo's fight night weight was 168 or less vs. Floyd.

Since the Cotto fight, his fight night weight is always 180 pounds and above. Vs. Chavez Jr. he looked easily 185+ pounds. He looked much bigger than Chavez Jr. in spite of the distinct height difference.

In case you haven't watched the last fights of Canelo, he has walked through EVERYBODY'S punches, including Angulo, Lara, Cotto, who had previously KO'd REAL MIDDLEWEIGHTS, Khan of course, Liam Smith, and Chavez Jr. who was probably 180 pounds or something like that, on fight night.

If a tiny Pacquiao easily walked through Floyd's punches in his last meaningful fight, sending Floyd to the ropes many times, Manny being the shorter, lighter way smaller guy, JUST IMAGINE a 185-pound super-fast Canelo --yes, Canelo is MUCH FASTER AND SHARPER THAN HE WAS VS. FLOYD-- vs. a tiny what, 155-pound 40-something semi-retired Floyd?

Unless there would be a ridiculous pre-fight fix, I'd bet anyone Floyd would be KO'd, or if he survived by running away all night, he would still go right to the hospital right after the fight, all battered and would vomit blood like Cotto, Lara, Angulo, Smith, Khan surely did the next day.

Canelo needed fame and cash badly. He was no match for prime Floyd. Floyd needed to defeat a future super-star when he was green, naive and drained.

But today is a totally different story and for the record, I totaly dislike both Floyd (for fighting like a coward and being a tricky cheater) and Canelo (for being a loud mouth and a cowardly smaller-opponent-bully who was afraid to take on GGG when the latter was a beast).

And don't get me started on a GGG-Floyd match, even at 154. Seriously, saying that Floyd could get serious brain damage, permanent disability or even killed in such a fight is not an exaggeration by any means.
If you think Canelo was ever 185 in any fight in his life then you're clearly unsophisticated on fight weight. That guy has never weighed 185, ever. Likely never 180. He's 5'7 and change. 180 is large at that height. Dude is very cut but he's not big. That's just fanboy talk.

And for the record, I've followed Canelo since he beat Hatton. He would lose today just like he did in 2013. Definitely can beat GGG though. But I doubt he will.

And if you think Floyd was in his prime in 2013, then you're obviously not knowledgable about the sport. Dude was way past the best version of himself in the fight. He was 36 that night. Wake up lol Floyd's best weight was at 135/140.

        No he won't.

5'7 Canelito has nothing for GGift.

If he were good enough to beat Golovkin he would have given Floyd a run for his money.

Carlos Baldomir gave Floyd a better fight than lil overrated Alvarez.

Nobody is forced to watch a fight.

Roy jones is still fighting to this day.
Roy is an old fighter who just doesn't know how to let go. It's a different case with Floyd. If Mayweather comes back to set a record win over someone who has never had a single amateur or pro boxing match, it will be horrible for the sport.

Are you kidding? EVERY fight is about the money, fame and legacy for Floyd. Do you think if he fights McGregor and wins, that he won't go around bragging his ass off about breaking Marciano's record? This despite the fact that he would have done it against an MMA fighter.

              • Mayweather wouldn't find either of their wives instead of McGregor, let alone GGG or a more seasoned Canelo.

Canelo will beat him...all I need to say. Oh, but I will say it's hilarious comparing an atg to Mr 154-168 but only fought at 160.

I guess Hagler isn't cut from the same clothe either! Amazing how some of you guys come up with these excuses. Hagler fought at MW his WHOLE career. He's a legend/HOF. He had a two former WW who moved up and fought him. SRL and Hitman. Why can't Floyd? Floyd did say it would be easy work. GGG said hell move down to 154 to fight Floyd. Ward made Dawson come down to 68, why not meet GGG at 64? Floyd made Canelo come down to 52. I'm just stating FACTS.

Canelo was about the same fight night when he fought Mayweather. They have the same reach...Pac vs Margarito was a much bigger size difference. He wants to earn 100 million $$ plus...he has to earn it and take some risks otherwise he can go rematch Berto if he thinks otherwise.
im actually talking about floyd vs canelo. floyd was 151 vs canelo at 174 (on fight night). floyd stays in shape so he is nowhere near 165 even if he were he would drop wt when he gets into fighting shape. he made 32 million fighting berto. ggg has never earned that much. thats why everyone wants floyd to return to the ring. he makes a lot of money for everyone. boxing suffered greatly when he retired. lil g is the one that needs to take some risk. he wants the big payday, then he has to stop fighting the likes of willie monroe and rubio and other soup cans.
