I like Lampley's enthusiasm, but sometimes he sees things that aren't there. He is a good cheerleader, but I wouldn't bet the farm on the accuracy of his observations.

Lampley is just like any other non independant journalist. By that i mean he will say the things he gets paid yo say and hype whatever he gets paid to hype.

GGG needed that fight in June to properly be prepared

2nd I was there at the Lara fight and had good seats. I know you casual fans don't score body shots but Canelo was FKN Lara up with them. You should of seen his face between rounds. I really don't see Gennady as the favorite. Not even as a slight favorite. And I'm rooting hard for Golovkin.

But Gennady has to knock out Canelo. Because he's not a good enough boxer to beat Canelo in a decision. He's just not.

And we've never seen Canelo hurt since he's arrived at the top level. He hasn't even been close to being put on the canvas...let alone knocked the f**k out.

Honestly I think it's something like 60/40 Canelo.

i was going for ggg at first now it's 50/50 to me. if canelo can take ggg's punches, or at least avoid them enough to not get seriously hurt from it then canelo wins this.

He did fight the best fighter of our era at age 23. Yes he did lose, but who was GGG fighting at 23? Yeah, that part! We may disagree with the decision, but it's in the books, Canelo beat Lara. Has GGG beaten Lara? Lastly, GGG was chasing a fight with that same old small midget, but Canelo beat him to the punch. Again, Canelo's career path was significantly different than GGG!

he doesnt need to. he beat jacobs, which is a better/bigger version of lara.
