From a business standpoint, it would make more sense for Beterbiev to win a title and then do a unification with Stevenson.

It's not like he's a draw there yet.

Yvon has said he has no intention to have them fight in the past....ever...title or no title...whatever lol. Makes no sense to me, but that's his stance.

This dudes career has turned to s***, 32 and after that shoulder injury he is dealing with this, only 11 pro fights he should have fought more and he won't be getting a title shot until 2018 if he wins that eliminator.

Sometimes it seems like all these promoters are doing is keeping their fighters from reaching stardom to protect their supposed A side, in this case protecting Stevenson and stalling/ruining the careers of Beterbiev and Alvarez.

Yvon Michel is a terrible extremely shady promoter who has nothing but excuses and puts up trash show after trash show that nobody asked for. Stevenson turned from a fighter of the year caliber fighter to the laughing stock of the sport.

Maybe he should move to the other Canadian promoter (Interbox?) or just sign with a US promoter.

It will be a very wise decision if Beterbiev follows through with this decision since Yvon Michel is a garbache promoter. Look at David Lemieux now since he left Yvon Michel his career is in much better hands.

He should've had a fight with Stevenson a long time ago! How does GYM (Stevenson) even go into talks with Joe Smith Jr. when Barerra and Beterbiev in the same stable? Good luck to Beterbiev!

Understandble, they've done a poor job with his career. Wouldn't be surprised to see Barrera doing the same thing when they inevitably push his title shot back even further yet again.

Beterbiev claims in his papers that for his fight with Ezequiel Maderna from last June, he did not receive his full purse until August of the same year. Also, he says his fight with Ranoni Prieto from last December, was not paid out until March of this year.
