As much as I think its a garbage fight, Floyd/Conor would undercut a significant portion of the GGG/Canelo PPV audience. It would get all the casuals. It would get more mainstream coverage. it would get more coverage in sports.
The top story on ESPN the other day was that they started to take betting odds in Vegas for the Floyd/conor fight despite the fight NOT BEING ANYWHERE CLOSE TO BEING SIGNED!!
GGG/Canelo is a huge, huge fight. Like ODH and Tito. Floyd/Conor would be an event that might outsell Floyd/Manny.
Notice that they gave a date but not a location yet? Why do you think that is?

But with Canelo-GGG already line up with date it would be ****** for them to have the fight that day also and do a competing PPV.
All Floyd/Connor is, is a money grab for either guy. So why would you want to cut your money short going up against the biggest fight in boxing right now.
It would be a ****** move. Would they make money from the casuals, of course but it would be from the MMA casual not the boxing casuals.
If you were Floyd would you want to do this fight the same day? Its would be a ****** business move financially.
Plus they havent named a Location on Canelo-GGG, because they are going to find a place that maximizes there dollar for that fight. Its not because they are waiting to see if the Floyd-Connor fight is going to get made.
What fight will you be watching if its on the same date?Last edited by boxinghead530; 05-08-2017, 02:16 PM.

You didn't answer my question-Notice that they gave a date but not a location yet. Why do you think that is?

Plus they havent named a location because they are looking for the best place that will maximize their dollar. Thats why Oscar mentioned the UK as a possible location.
Which fight would you watch if they are the same date?

LMFAO! If its such a big event, why are you saying where it is maximizes dollars? Newsflash-Floyd fights in 16,000 seat MGM and does a larger gate than all other fighters.
Please dude THINK-why would ODH put the fight in England? if they fight in prime time in England that would be 2:00PM in Canelo's biggest drawing region-west and southwest US and 5:00 on the East Coast, not to metnion the time it would air on Mexican TV.
Does that maximize revenue as you are stating?
Sorry dude but Floyd/Conor is the much bigger event.
I would go to a bar so I could watch both because I refuse to pay for Floyd/conor depsite being a huge floyd fan.
