No. Aside from May/Pac, I've never heard so many people talking about a fight since I was a kid and Tyson was the baddest man on the planet.

Even my non-boxing friends are chatting about it on facebook. Mind blowing how such a meaningless fight is so damn big. Kovalev/Ward was so much more important and evenly matched. But, Canelo takes a catch weight vs a perpetual fk-up and boxing is suddenly alive again in America.

So PPV numbers can be good ,to be honest Boxing biggest events allways are like show or circus ,Boxing is sport living by its stars,Football(european) for example lives through tradition ,even local teams can be popular.

Bernard Hopkins had a loud bark, but he only threw 2-3 punches a round, so he had very little bite ! Whereas a Shawn Porter doesn't do much barking, but he bites once the fight starts!
