Such a waste of talent.

Mayweather ruined this guy's chance to become a star and capitalize on his talent. Maybe the diva did it on purpose out of selfishness.
I agree 100% Gamboa had no business fighting Crawford by going up 3 divisions from his original weight class. Then he signs to 50 cent a person who doesn't know **** about boxing and he just throws him in there with Terrence Crawford at a weight he has never seen before and that probably destroyed his career + inactivity and we have a fighter that was destined for greatness looking shot and expired.

This is a lesson for all the young fighters, stick with GBP or TR until you become your own boss. The rest of these companies are ****.

I wonder what 50 and TMT sold him? The black power bull**** (btw im black so no one better call me a ****ing racist)

Was one of the top fighters in boxing but a scam artist who had no business promoting wasted his prime with inactive because he couldn't make fights, drama, went bankrupt, then oh yeah sacrificed Gamboa to a huge crawford. It's almost criminal what 50 did to this kid. Fans were hoping maybe he could make a comeback now that promotional drama was behind him. But it's too late not much left. His first fight you could chalk up to rust. But this his second fight back and the speed and power he used to have is gone. He shows flashes but he's not the same he always had flaws defensively but made up for it with that speed.

Reminds me of Roy Jones who had bad fundamental technique too but amazing reflexes once those dropped he was cooked and it happened fast. It's why others with great defense and fundamentals can keep fighting latter in years as life takes away their speed and lose power.
50 cent is a crook and had no business promoting Gamboa. Shame this talent went to waste over garbage management

He was never the same after the first knock down and Castellanos is not a heavy hitter, but I was so happy to see him when hopefully he'll get some good money fights down the line because he's reaching the end of his career as well... after that pathetic performance Cambogia seriously think about continually you showed me nothing

His last fight he dropped and was beating Oscar escandon who is now fighting for the title. Was on the way to winning until he got headbutt. He beat Caballero, rocky Juarez. You have to look at the names he's beat and when those loses came. 10 of his loses were early his career over 7 years ago when he was learning to fight. He is not a bum I said when the fight was announced this will be a tough fight and that gamboa could lose. Because I seen Castellanos fight and know who he has been in the ring with. If you just look at the win loss record you don't know that.
Exactly! You broke it down perfectly!

Such a sad sight smh. Gamboa is straight washed now. Used to be one of my favorites too, what a shame. He looked so slow and out of shape, no steam on his punches either. He just needs to hang em up, I don't think his mind nor body is in it anymore.

As usual the keyboard warriors are just that, who isngoing tl pay his Medical bills? Remember Mago?

He is done. He knows it. He likely has no savings, so he may be forced to fight a few more. WOuldnt surprise me to see him face an absolute bum and then be fed to Valdez or something lile that. Sad ending. I enjoying him a great deal in his prime (we missed most lf it)

No shame for me here. His body is done, kinda like Oscar vs Pac
Couldn't agree more. Frankly, I'm amazed Gamboa lasted as long as he did. He looked drunk after the first knockdown. And at the end, before he quit, he looked like a man who's just reached the finish line at a marathon.

Its easy to say that watching on TV but if he felt something hes never felt before in his head I cant see why anybody would hold that against him. Its much better than a brain injury.
