Ya, but WE wouldn't (necessarily) Know. Yes, the perception looks horrible. If someone gets KO'd out, I respect him for trying. If he quits, not so much. Fake it. Take a jab, take a knee, let him reach 10 Count, and then we're not even having this discussion.

Knockout defeats can change a fighter forever (in this case, Gamboa's loss to Crawford) Not just physically..brain may/may not be able to process punishment...but mentally.

Just goes to show and appreciate ..how some special champions can come back ...ie. Lennox Lewis, Pacquiao..etc.

Damn and that arguably Crawfords best win.

I followed Gamboa and was a fan since his pro debut in Germany, watched almost all of his fights, but he always seemed kinda arrogant in the ring and just not care much about defense at all.

A sad end to a brutally and cynically wasted career.

And that too against a fighter like Castellenos who hasnt fought any one of note in years. Probably Cabellero like 5 or 6 years ago or whenever that was.

Yeah. What a shame. Gamboa was really something and could have been a top p4p level champ.

After Gamboa quit I checked the poll to see if someone deserves credit for making a great call...

...there were 100% votes for Gamboa then too...
