Oscar owns both fighters who beat them. Rojas and Castellanos are in house golden boy fighters. Specifically Rojas will now be in line for a title shot. And people keep acting like money was spent on gamboa. He didn't make much for his HBO Boxing After Dark fight and I doubt he made a lot for this fight. The big payday was going to come only if he won and landed a big fight.Comment

I think Gamboa has shown heart, tonight and against Crawford. He was getting beat up in there, and he had absolutely nothing to offer in return. He felt it, and we saw it. Scorecards or no. Like Teddy said, he wasn't just ending the fight; he was putting an end to his career. No sense getting your brains knocked out when you know you're done like a Thanksgiving turkey.Yeah I don't think he was going to win but teddy said he had the fight all tied up on his scorecard before the stoppage. I'm talking in terms if the scorecard he was still in the fight. But he had enough didn't want to dig deep and go out on his sword and quit. You just can't come back when you tap out like that. Not sure how much money he has saved but he shouldn't fight again. If he's broke he will just be a stepping stone to take abuse from youngins.
I disagree this is the opposite of showing heart it's a quit job.Comment

LAS VEGAS Yuriorkis Gamboa can't use rust or a long layoff as an excuse for this. Less than two months after a lackluster performance in his return from a 14-month layoff, Mexico's Robinson Castellanos stopped Gamboa after the seventh round of their nationally televised fight Friday night. Castellanos floored Gamboa once apiece in the third and fourth rounds and appeared to hurt the former featherweight champion more than once in the seventh round at MGM Grand Garden Arena.

I dont like the quit. OK, he wanted This to be his Last Fight. I get that. But he Fought 7 or 8 rounds already? He couldnt Fight 2 More? DO u want your Last Fight to be a quit? Fight was close. I had It just about even when he quit. Fight 6 More Minutes, see what happens. He could have probably got the decision, if he Won the last few rounds. I just dont get quitting like that, when he wasn't seriously hurt, despite being down twice. SMHComment
