At least they weee both MW and not a CW draining. Win or lose cantnelo is going to look bad. If he loses it sets him back and if he wins and impressively then the real issue is why duck ggg for 18 months? Only reason is that they wanted him to get older

Let's review some facts.

Boxing fans always criticized Chavez Jr. as being a huge Middleweight oversizing his opponents. I mean look at his frame size when he was fighting Fonfara...

Then the Nelo haters says Alvarez has been fighting ''smaller'' guys as if Trout or Lara are to blame that their position, skills or rankings of the time have anything to do with ''size.'' Alvarez is a stocky guy, but that's expected for his height. If we were to crunch down Charlo or Andrade to the size height as Alvarez they'd also look stocky proportionally. That's just the nature of the game.

Now Alvarez is going northbound to fight a bigger opponent who has been fighting smaller opponents at 160 and bigger opponents above 160, and doesn't credit for taking such a challenge. the 164 catch was justified, and these two have had beef since 2010. How could Jr. make 160 for a bout with Alvarez, how could Alvarez provide a 168 bout with Chavez Jr.? 164.5 was the most fair stage for the fight to provide no excuses. Team Chavez can't say anything about the catch because they can't say ''Alvarez should've gave us 166 or 167..'' Industry wouldn't even buy that...

More importantly, the rumor is that Golovkin is not even attending the event. K2 would ideally cherry pick public appearance for any of these two Mexican fighters given the FACT that K2 has wanted both! But the Nelo haters just focus on Alvarez...

cantnelo has no fawking footwork but he is great at slipping punches just with head movement. I think you are right about the head movement not only confusing him but frustrating him too

Outside of an early round ko stoppage, Chavez, Jr. got this. I Believe that he will eventually wear Alvarez down in the later rounds due to his lack of cardio conditiioning. In addition, the extra weight and added muscle won't help matters either, the longer the fight goes.
