Yeah i'll believe it when I see it happen, he's going to want to be a vocal and involved stake owner and that's not going to fly based on how protective the NBA is of its image. Maybe at a Jay-Z .0001% ownership level yeah but a jordanesque visual level..nah. He'd have a better shot at reversing time. Wish him luck on the endeavor just don't see it happening in a way that makes him happy.

Magic sold his share in the Lakers and got $65 million (got it for $4 million in the 80s b/c Jerry Buss wanted to give him equity) so he could buy an interest in the Dodgers. Many people are gonna read this article wrong. He ain't gonna have full ownership of any team he'd own a percentage. 5% maybe. Big money still but even that small of a percentage is gonna be hard for him to obtain. Those slave owners don't even like magic or mj being partial owners
MJ is the majority owner of his franchise. Like 70 or 80% of the team is his.
There are other black minority owners around the league too. Just low profile wealthy individuals.Comment

Seems like an ill informed hater response.Seems like a vanity investment more than a legit investment.
But I've heard you do tend to get a lot of side sh^t upside when you are an NBA owner (legit or partial) so its probably not like he's setting money on fire or anything.
Plus I'd assume team value historically moves up, regardless of a team's success, so if you get in now when a team is worth on average $500M & get out in 10 years when lets say a team is worth $650M on average that doesn't seem like an awful move.
Calm down Pact*rd.Comment

lol wut? Show me all the cats who think a sports team is a great investment. I'm not hating on a damn thing, its just a fact. Its a vanity thing that a lot of rich mfers do.
And are we still saying Pact#rd??? I'm a Floyd fan, but I can be critical & logical about sh^t too. I just don't slurp on peoples c#ck like I assume you are admitting to by suggesting I'm a hater for not goose stepping in formation with anything Floyd does.Comment
