Combination. AJ went all out in the 5th, trying to get Wlad out of there. It's always been said that the big guys bring the heat, but run out of gas fast. Add in a couple of good shots by Klitschko, and you get what we saw in the 6th. One good thing about being young though, is that second wind.

The truth is, that the fight could've been scored for either fighter, it was pretty close. So whether you had Joshua, or Klitschko up you wouldn't be at fault. Some publications had Wladimir up others had Joshua, certain rounds like 2, 4, and 9 were closer, and round 5 could've been scored 10-9 instead of 10-8 for Joshua seeing as how Klitschko rallied.

In the end it matters little, as round 11 was the telling round to the fight. Great fight.

Maybe slowing down, you dont notice much but it is fair to assume he would reach his limit soon at that tempo with how big he is, but he wasnt phsycailly showing it, not really, it only started with the left hook which clearly gave him a jolt right when it landed and then he was a zombie who couldnt recover because he was eating punches the rest of the round.

Josh was tired. But I've got to admit watching boxing in my armchair I wonder how they get tired so fast.
Didn't they train 15 rounds and spar?
Of course you can't replicate a real fight but still you hear about them training so hard

When he's hurt he seems to take a long time to recover. Credit to him for taking the shots tho, we all know Wladimir can punch.

He does have a weird reaction when he gets hurt, seems to go in slow mo for a few rounds.

Totally, it was just not as visible on Carl Froch, because ofcourse, Froch is the man.
I'm quite surprised that so many people believe that you can gas in the 5th round and then box 4 more rounds, and then just regain stamina. It's not like that. Had it been stamina issues, he would have never recovered in the fight. Especially not, when it hit him so early.

I think AJ really needs to hold back on the weightlifting though. I think that might be a reason why he got hurt like that.
