Fair weather fans can trash Canelo all they want. Fact is, the guy can fight, gets better every fight, and will keep pulling in top fight purses for quite some time. In reality, his net worth is easily in the top 5 of all current fighters. It would be fun to see as much disdain for Floydie with all the juicing and ducking he did for many years.

The real snake is Sulaiman. Wish I had as many different belts as his greedy carcass comes up with. I do own a few nice ones, but they don't compare to all the ones he has for his joke of an organization. And if you do some research on the WBC, you'll see more corruption than any of the other 'Big 4' organizations.

But I'm certainly not giving Canelo a free ride. If he doesn't fight GGG within the next couple years he's definitely ducking. But he's brought no embarrassment to his nation or his people, he's a tough fight for any fighter, and I'm fully confident when he's retired he will have a strong legacy built at that point.

He forgot one thing in that speech, he won the belt BASED on the FACT that he was to fight ggg next, he somehow forgot that

Just look at the WBC handling of Wilder. In 2 and a half years the guy has yet to even fight anyone in their top 5. Cause they won't make him. WBC is a disgrace to boxing as much as wilder is.

            agree with everything there

but you must admit, that 155 rubbish was bullshht

it was lame and unprofessional, he deserved the flak he got

other than that I don't really have a problem with Canelo..... he fought the top 4 JMW's consecutively, then Kirkland/Cotto..... scraping past Lara and stumbling with Mayweather..... there are a new bunch at 154 now, but only the Charlo's had the style to really give Canelo problems..... oh, and Lara of course

Andrade would be interesting, but I definitely favor Canelo

and he made an 8-figure offer that Golovkin could EASILY have accepted.....

FACT: the last word in that negotiation was said by Golovkin

that word was..... " no "

Canelo is also right regarding the WBC, they behaved like they were Golovkin's promoters..... they laid out the red carpet for the WBA middleweight champ Golovkin, despite ignoring the WBA champ and heavyweight kingpin Wladimir Klitschko for..... oh I dunno, about a decade LOL

He acts like they were telling him to fight in 15 days. All he had to do was agree to it, why should that take longer than two weeks? And how does take balls to fight an undersized washed up WW in the twilight of his career?

So, let me get this straight...Canelo told the WBC he doesn't want them involved so they went ahead and created a belt anyway? They seem desperate to get their logos all over this event to the point of creating a belt, thinking Canelo couldn't possibly refuse a belt. Sad ****ers. Good for Canelo.

I'm starting to see things from his perspective. If he had legal troubles then a further 15 day extension sounds reasonable. I wish all this was apparent at the time instead of the "he was scared and vacated" narrative.

the WBC is doing what all belt organizations do when a title should be defended. problem is that canela doesn't have the confidence that he really can beat golovkin.
